Celebrating 35 years! Congrats! Stampin' Up!

Published on 2 October 2023 at 09:00

All month long I will be celebrating the 35th anniversary of Stampin' Up! with my loyal blog readers!  All you need to do is visit my blog post each day, comment on that day's post to  be entered to win a  Stampin' Up! product from me.  (U.S. residents only)

Each day, I will be sharing different things that Stampin' Up! carried throughout the years and sharing my story.

Are you ready for a blast from the past?   Today, I am sharing my first purchase from Stampin' Up! in 1991. We had to mail our check with our order forms (company didn't use a credit cards back then) and then wait forever (this was because I was on a military base overseas.) I am not even sure if they shipped overseas or we had to have it mailed to a US address and then forwarded to us.  I didn't get this set in time for Christmas; I do remember that.  I also remember the fun my friends and I had stamping with our new stamp sets.

Do you remember what your first Stampin' Up! Stamp set was?  Leave me a comment below to let me know.

I also included the scissors and my original bone folder both still in use today albeit, they are a wee bit worn from use!

We use to have to cut the rubber and then mount the stamps on the wood blocks.  I still use these scissors today and truly wish Stampin' Up! would bring them back.

Ready to find out what today's giveaway is?  A package of Basic White notecards and envelopes.  Just leave a comment on this post below.

My first set was one that contained a bunch of different hearts. I had been invited to a stamping party and was so blown away by all of the creative things that could be made using those stamps. I became addicted.
